"This is the 3rd time we have visited the Tabor House and we learn new things each time. We could visit another 10 and it would be the same. This museum is RICH with local history as well as US history! We had three guides in period costume. They kept our group engaged the whole time. I love learning history through the stories of families. Thank you, Gilmer County Historical Society. We appreciate you!"

This needs to be on your list of to things to see in Elijay."

Adventure Queen

"Dr Cox and the other Tabor House Museum volunteer provided a knowledgeable and interactive guided tour through this two-story historic home. My husband and I stopped and spent about an hour on this guided tour. There are many donated artifacts that are on display at this museum, with the two volunteers providing background stories of several of them. If you're looking for a glimpse and walk back in time of local and state history, while in Ellijay, Georgia, I recommend this free guided tour. Donations are welcome. ❤️"
