What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Beach 11 at Presque Isle is praised for its accessibility and beautiful sandy shores, often cited as one of Pennsylvania's best beaches. However, some visitors have noted issues with water quality advisories, occasional unpleasant odors, and the presence of dead marine life, which can impact the swimming experience. Despite these drawbacks, many find it an enjoyable destination, especially for families and those seeking scenic sunsets.
"We were there for a free beach concert that they have on summer Wednesdays. Swimming was not permitted this day due to high ecoli levels in the lake. This beach has a roll-out sidewalk that helps when dragging a wagon or anything with wheels."

"It was okay for a lake beach, but definitely not the best. I would do Geneva on the lake instead.
We went to 11 bc it was voted on the news as the best beach in PA. Unfortunately when we went there was the now typical Canada wildfires happening so you could see smog in the air (no sun). We were on a code orange air quality I guess. They also had an algae overgrowth so there was no swimming. There was a dead seagull in the water by the sand. It just wasn't that great.
Although I think it there was sun and real air it would have been enjoyable. The kids enjoyed the sand. My husband and I did not."

"It was a graveyard of fish and birds, smelled terrible. No swimming signs posted & notice that the water was not safe for dogs."
