What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Estero Historical Society Museum for its authentic portrayal of early 20th-century life through beautifully restored buildings and informative exhibits. The knowledgeable docents and the peaceful park setting are frequently highlighted as major draws. While generally well-received, some visitors note that hours can be limited and suggest checking in advance.
"What a great place to visit and get a feeling of yesterday years and what it would have been like to have grown up here in the 20's and 30's. Two buildings were saved from being destroyed, and they were moved from their original place just a short distance down the road. There is an old school house and a farm home that was moved to this location. Both buildings have period furnishings in them. The school house has pictures of students who attended the school along with some of their report cards.
Great care was taken to keep the buildings as original as possible.
We highly recommend stopping by this place and checking it out. There is a park nearby that would be a great place for a picnic lunch."
