The challenging hike is often described as strenuous but ultimately rewarding, with many planning return trips. However, hikers should be prepared for difficult terrain, potential wet conditions, and the need for ample time and physical exertion.
"The Walls of Jericho is a fun and challenging hike. I didn't think it was too bad going down, but you're definitely going to feel it on the way out. That said I think the waterfall and gorge in the bottom is worth the hike. When it's dry, you can climb up the waterfall and explore more, however I do think it would have been a little more scenic had we gone after a recent storm. This isn't a quick, easy hike though so give yourself a minimum of 4-5 hrs of daylight to hike to the bottom, explore, and then hike back out with breaks if you're not in great shape."

"As advertised, the trail going in was pretty good, until I fell. After that we started out, which was pretty strenuous. The fall made it worse, but it was tough getting out. We made it and we plan to return in a week or so. It’s a beautiful area!"

"Had a very wet hike for my second trip to the Walls of Jericho, still worth it! The huge pool and amazing rock formations at the end of the trail is something that my photos and videos can't convey what it's like to be there. There is a pretty significant incline required to get to the trailhead parking area."
