What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Angel Rocks Trail offers beautiful panoramic views of the Alaskan wilderness and unique rock formations, making it a worthwhile hike for many. However, some visitors find the views to be just 'okay' forest scenery and note that the experience can be significantly impacted by extreme mosquito activity in the summer. The trail is moderately strenuous with a good climb.
"It doesn't worth to drive one hour from Fairbanks downtown here specifically for this hiking trail. It is good overlook view of Chena River but nothing magical. If you pass by or go somewhere else like hot springs, you can check it out. In my personal experience, the chena hot springs is also not interesting. It is just like a popular resort and so many people and RV around. Of course, it is very personal whether it is interesting or not."

"Did a day hike up to you where the Angel Rocks trail splits from the trail to the Chena Hot Springs on May 3rd. Trail was moderately easy to hike up, snow was still around in lower spots but as soon as the climb started the trail got a lot easier. The boardwalk is in need of some TLC but still passable."

"The most beautiful views I've seen. It's a very strenuous hike so be prepared. It's worth all the sweat and soreness just for that view."
