What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Arctic Winter Adventures for its incredible dog sledding and Northern Lights tours. The friendly staff, knowledgeable guides, and the well-cared-for sled dogs are frequently highlighted as major positives. The cozy yurt dinners and convenient hotel pick-ups also contribute to a highly recommended experience, despite the extreme cold.
"My 10-year-old son and I had a blast! They came and picked us up from our hotel in Fairbanks! Our driver was kind, knowledgeable, and entertaining.
There is a small building in which we began our adventure! Coffee, cookies, water, and tea were provided. Gain some knowledge about what is to come and what to expect.
We enjoyed the beautiful mountain views as we made our way down to the dogs and sleds. As the sleds were being prepared, my son and I walked around and petted some of the dogs. They were all so friendly, and it was obvious how much they love to pull the sleds. They all just barked and howled in anticipation!
Once on the sled, the guide was giving information about the dogs, mushing and racing. We stopped a couple of times, and he even took my phone along with another's phone to take pictures of the pups and of us!
We ended the trip back in the original building to warm up with more cookies and drinks. I highly recommend this Arctic Winter Adventure!"

"What a great experience! Fortunately, we had a beautiful weather morning which made our 10:30 a.m. booking even better.
We booked online a few days in advance and then called about changing the time of day. They were accommodating and friendly both on the phone and in person!
The dogs were happy to see us, and the sled ride itself was fun. I mean, seriously, look at these dogs! How can you not have fun when they're pulling you around in the snow!"
Amy
"Cannot recommend it enough!
Matthew and Jeremiah were amazing sled drivers, and let us get to know the dogs too.
Peggy in the yurt was also extremely sweet, helping us shelter from the cold immediately after the ride.
If I ever come back to Anchorage, I'm going sledding with them again for sure."
