What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Running Reindeer Ranch for its magical and unique experience, highlighting the knowledgeable and friendly staff who share fascinating insights into reindeer. The opportunity to walk with these curious animals in their natural habitat is a major draw. However, some find the price point high compared to other Alaskan activities, and note that not all reindeer may be present during certain times of the year.
"If you are looking to interact with reindeers then a petting zoo will be a better option at a fraction of the cost. Also, don’t visit for the next few weeks as 4-5 of their best reindeer are out for breeding and not at the facility.
The story telling was great and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable but we did not see the value of spending close to $100 per person for this activity compared to all the other things we did in Alaska. I would not recommend to anyone other than families with kids (as the kids seemed to enjoy it)"

"This was a great experience! Jane and her staff were both friendly, and knowledgeable about the reindeer and their history. When we were up in the forest, the reindeer did in fact run all together. It was amazing! Very unique creatures ❤️"
Lori Schrage
"This was beyond a unique and fun experience to get to walk freely with the reindeer frolicking around you ! Such a great time and the guides were both knowledgeable and made the tour fun ! The reindeer all had their own personalities and the younger ones were quite curious ! Highly recommend !"
