The Rhododendron Garden is close, and gorgeous, and the blooms go through early summer. Can't recommend enough for a half day trip from Seattle, especially adding the Pacific Bonsai Museum next door to the itinerary!
Not too far away, if you want to make a little more of a day of it, is PowellsWood Garden. We like to to one, get lunch, then visit the other. The Rhody Species Garden has an awesome plant nursery as well!
