"This is a nice-looking campground and we would have planned to stay here again in the future (for our yearly family gatherings in the area); however, our second visit (mid-July, 2025) to the Floyd Family Campground was not as pleasant as our first visit, in June of last year. Because our RV's shower stall is super tiny, we usually take our showers in the campground bath houses (if they're available). There are two bath houses at the Floyd Family Campground. I don't know if the one on the other side of the campground is in better shape than the one that was closest to where our RV was parked, but the bath house I tried to use (the women's side of the bath house) wreaked of a very strong mildew smell. The smell caused my sinuses to swell and my head to hurt, so I left the bathroom as quickly as I could because I'm very allergic to mildew spores (last year there was no smell of mildew in the bath house at that time; so maybe the mildew problem varies from year to year?). If you have an RV (with a shower that you like), I would recommend this campground for its attractiveness and its good location. However, be warned: if you're planning to stay over the weekend during the summer, and a group has rented the community building that is right next to the side of the campground where we were staying in our RV, the noise of the party may continue till midnight (as happened while we were there). We campers in the park are supposed to be quiet beginning at 10, so I don't know why the same rule didn't apply to the partiers in the community building. Their music was quite loud, but there's no full-time attendant on site at this campground that you can go to in order to complain about noise issues. Also, be warned that, even if you reserve one of their adorable tiny houses (with a down payment), you can be kicked out of the tiny house if they decide to move you out because someone else needs it at the same time (perhaps for a greater number of nights? or simply because they overbooked?). We were kicked out of a tiny house that we initially reserved (and found out that my brother and his family got it, instead--we were told that it was because they had "overbooked" the tiny house)."

"I just wanted to share a quick word or two. I cannot tell you how wonderful my stay has been here. Christian for starters is one of THE BEST Managers of any facilities that I have patroned or worked with (and there have been quite a few coming from a media background). He is professional, kind, helpful, he sure works his butt off & is great at multitasking (one minute he’s taking reservations & the next he’s on the mower…lol).
Then you have your main grounds keeper, Blaine, wow! Just wow! What an amazing team these two are & the campground is spotless, the area itself is absolutely beautiful. Blaine, I feel, has gone above and beyond to clean the shrubs, trees, etc. he too works his tail off and all the fire pits he has made? Wow he didn’t HAVE to, he wanted too because he loves his job, both of them. Now in today’s society we are so quick to find the negative in everything in hopes of makin this or that go viral & we forget about those in the background that really make it all possible. So this long letter I am sending is a long way of saying: Thank you & you are so very lucky to have these 2 young men working for you. Thank you for your time.
