What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tropic Falls at OWA is generally well-received for its fun atmosphere and the appeal of its indoor water park, especially for families. Visitors appreciate the variety of rides and the convenience of the surrounding OWA entertainment district. However, some find the pricing to be on the higher side, and occasional issues with ride availability or wait times for water park tubes are noted.
"We really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere is like a mini Universal Studio Park. My kids enjoyed all the rides, the best part, we went out of season and there was no waiting in line. The Waterpark is awesome. I would go again but it's a bit pricey. I wish they would sell tickets for only the waterpark."

"We spent the day with our family and we all had fun. They have a lot of rides for kids 42inches and taller, I didn’t see many for kids under that but a bunch of them were closed. A few big rides for the big kids too. The kid zone in the water park is a nice size and well kept and overseen. The lazy river is pretty small and narrow, a lot of bumping into people. Tons of leg guards on duty which is great. Ample seating areas with tables and chairs. Slides are nice but had a long wait and I saw a few upset teens/adults about being weighed in front of everyone. Wave pool is really spacious but I was confused why the waves stop for a period of time. Overall it was a fun experience but it is pretty expensive at $60 a ticket. Parking was free and there’s tons of places to go that are onsite."

"We went yesterday and had a great time! I would give it a 5 star if it weren’t for one thing. Be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes just for a tube for the slides just to wait another 15 or so minutes for the ride itself. Other parks I’ve been to have plenty of tubes for everyone needing one. Be prepared for this. Other than this and a not so wavy wave pool, we really throughly enjoyed ourselves. I love it being mostly indoors. We were already scorched from being at the beach the days before so this was nice having a break from the sun and still have fun."

The Indoor Water Park Experience
While the indoor water park is a highlight, some guests have noted minor drawbacks. The lazy river can feel a bit narrow and crowded, leading to bumping into others. Additionally, the wave pool's waves have been observed to pause for periods, and there can be significant waits for tubes needed for the slides. Despite these points, the overall experience is generally positive, with many appreciating the ability to have fun without being exposed to direct sun.
For families, the kid zone within the water park is a well-maintained and supervised area, providing a safe space for younger children to play. The surf simulator is another unique feature that adds to the aquatic fun.
Navigating the Theme Park Rides
When planning your visit, it's worth noting that the park's ride selection might lean more towards younger children. While there are rides for older kids and adults, some visitors with teens have found the offerings less engaging for that age group. Additionally, it's advisable to check the park's operational status for all rides, as some may be closed, particularly outside of peak season.
For those who enjoy a more relaxed pace, the park also features midway games, adding a traditional carnival atmosphere to the experience. The OWA entertainment district surrounding the park provides additional entertainment, shopping, and dining, making it a comprehensive destination for a day out.

This integrated approach means you can easily transition from a day of thrills at Tropic Falls to an evening of shopping and dining without leaving the resort complex.
The OWA district is designed to be a destination in itself, offering a pleasant atmosphere for strolling and enjoying the amenities. It complements the excitement of Tropic Falls by providing a more relaxed and varied entertainment landscape, ensuring there's something for everyone in the group.
