"Beautiful birds in a beautiful setting! We did not go in the visitors center, but drove the 10-mile loop around the water. We saw what had to be 500 snow geese and probably 100 American white pelicans. We also saw in excess of 200 Northern Shovelers which are supposed to be uncommon there at this time. Among all of those were numerous other water fowl with one bald eagle watching over the water and one in their nest. Road is well- maintained and signage is good."
