What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Horsetooth Falls for its beautiful scenery and the rewarding waterfall hike, especially during spring. While parking can be a challenge on busy days and water levels vary, the accessible trails and stunning reservoir views make it a highly recommended outdoor destination in Fort Collins.
"Memorial day 2025. POW/MIA table. Brought to this location. Always beautiful views and waterfall is definitely flowing"

"Not much water (I'm told it's sometimes dry), but a pretty area and a nice hike. The loop is about 3 miles total, with significant ups and downs. Part of the trail is open to horses and bikes, but part is for hikers only, probably because it's too steep and/or rocky and/or includes steps. The view from the bottom of the falls is much better than from the top. You can't see much from the top."

"We got there in midday and that was no parking available. There’s no other place to park. So we went to Fort Collins and went back at later time and it was open with no payment. The parking is $10. The path needs 1 water bottle and it has ups and downs but the hike is not hard at all. The fall looks cool but that didn’t have enough water in it."
