Can someone tell me how to get to the Jetties?
Has anyone ever been to the jetties, the place where you can watch cruise ships leave Port Everglades? (As shown [here](https://www.google.com/#q=fort+lauderdale+jetties&*).) I know where to park, but I can't figure out how to actually get onto the beach.
🌅 Sunset Views
Walk past the rocks for the best sunset views on Florida's east coast.
⚠️ Watch Your Step
The ground is covered in small stones, so be careful when walking near the water.
Fishing Jetty, Port Everglades
Is fishing allowed from the rocks/Jetty on the north and south side of the port Everglades inlet? Will be down in a couple weeks and looking for a place to fish from shore. If it is open to fishing, any recommendations on bait/tackle?

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Port Everglades Inlet Jetty for its impressive cruise ship views, stunning sunsets, and opportunities for sea fishing. The less crowded atmosphere is a significant draw, offering a more peaceful experience. However, the long walk from parking and the potentially unmarked paths can be a deterrent for some.
"The best viewing platform where you might encounter large luxury cruise ships on Saturdays and Sundays A paradise for sea fishing enthusiasts You just need to walk a small road to encounter beach stones. There are no signposts nearby. Need Google Maps to navigate slowly Personal photography is also recommended Just be careful as there are many small stones on the bottom of your feet. The sea breeze is nice Early morning or evening is recommended"

"Beautiful sunset spot at the end of the beach. Keep walking past the rocks for a better view. I think it’s the best you’ll get being on the east side of Florida! Once the sun goes down, like any sunset, it just keeps getting better!"

"The jetties and beach area are very nice and usually not crowded, which may be because it's not so easy to get to. Once you park, it's a long ahh walk just to get to the long ahh path that takes you to the top of the beach where there's then another long ahh walk to the jetties at the end. If nothing else, it's great exercise, but there IS so much else. An absolutely beautiful beach that's not crowded and rocks to walk down to get to the water. Be careful for waves when large ships go by tho!
There's signs that say the beach is for the building, but no one's ever bothered me, and my philosophy is to leave the place cleaner than when I arrived. I actually pick up trash that lazy or selfish people leave behind.
Last time I went with a friend it was the air show weekend and we got unexpected front row seats to practice flights. One went over us all close and Top Gun like. It was absolutely amazing!"
