What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Indrio Savannas Preserve for its natural beauty, diverse trails, and pet-friendly atmosphere. It's a great spot for hiking, biking, and wildlife observation, offering a peaceful escape. However, the lack of clear trail markers and limited amenities like trash cans are noted drawbacks.
"Great spot for a hike, bike ride, fishing or to walk your dogs...which is all allowed here. It's large enough that even with a full parking lot, most people tend to stay near the lake which has a trail that surrounds it, so by going a little deeper into the trail system I didn't see many people. It was nice with mostly hard packed trails that would be great on a bicycle with only a few spots with sugar sand that you may have to walk the bike across. The trails are unmistakable with the only caveat is there are no markers that point you back to the trail head. I ended up coming out at the indrio preserve that sits a little north but connects to the preserve...which also had a really nice pavilion and some picnic tables with some grills that looked a little rusty but also had a flattop on the larger grills which I've never really seen before.
I know it's tough knowing which places on the treasure Coast that allow dogs or bikes and because this one allows both, I'll definitely be coming here more often."

"Indrio Savannahs Preserve has amazing views and a grid of trimmed trails on which to walk, jog or ride a bike. Part of the trail by the lake is flood prone. There is one observation tower in the park that gives about one mile of sight distance, which is great for bird and wildlife spotting. Bring a compass, drink, and bug spray, and proceed with caution on the trails."

"I drive by the Indrio Preserve...daily. I've been wanting to stop by and take a look. I had the day off, decided to take the ride down the street. The Preserve is well kept, freshly mowed, trees and shrubs were trimmed back. I had no idea the lake is as big as it is. I was expecting maybe a small pond. But to my surprise...in a good way. It looks very clean. There are 2 picnic tables with charcoal grills near by. I walked a good distance into the preserve. It had started to thunder, I knew I didnt have much time. The lake is clear and looks deep. I went walking down the trail. Saw a Park Ranger. Which Im glad to see. He was on the walking bridge and he looked young. I said hello, he said hi, I told him I was trying to get back to the parking area before it started raining. He said. Yes Ma'm. Lol..cute. So I started a little jog. It was sprinkling and thunder, lightning was all around and getting worse. All of a sudden the sky opened up with a downpour of rain...I was soaked. I ran a little faster. I could see the picnic table, I was relieved to see the car. I will go back. Bring the kayak. Maybe try to walk the whole lake."
