What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Downtown Cowtown at the Isis Theatre's beautiful restoration and its dual role as a movie palace and live music venue. The nostalgic atmosphere, comfortable seating, and convenient downtown location with nearby dining options are frequently praised. Some minor drawbacks include potential parking challenges during peak events and the limited selection of concessions.
"Saw a performance. Full house. Lobby is nicely decorated, small lounge area with a bar if you want a beverage, staff on site are very helpful. Arrived early, found a parking lot behind building about a minute or 2 walk. Restaurants are close by too, everything was walking distance. Visited a cafe/restaurant before show"

"I think this place is just fantastic! If I lived in Cowtown, I would go there all the time, just for the nostalgia. It’s a cozy venue, it’s clean and the seats are comfy. We sat on the back row and could still see everything. They have a bar and candy and popcorn. What more can you ask for!? My 80 year-old friend used to go to this theatre when he was a kid to get out of the Texas heat. He said it was great and especially loved that outside looked the same. Very nice!"

"Saw a matinee in this beautifully restored theater and I will go back for an evening showing and visit the cocktail lounge. I was the first person to the showing so I got to pick the movie. 🤩I believe they host events also and would be an amazing venue and backdrop for a celebration. My grandparents used to walk from Diamond Hill to watch the shows when they were kids, it’s wild that I can do the same thing in the same place!"
