I’m so excited that Pumpkin Nights is back in Arlington September 21 til October 30. This is a unique family friendly activity to do at night. At PUMPKIN NIGHTS, explore a half-mile walking path, where you’ll discover the Forbidden City, a Pirate’s Cove, and more fantastical lands built using over 5,000 hand-carved real and artificial pumpkins. If you’re hungry this spot offers burgers, hotdogs, ...

It's a popular spot for running, cycling, and enjoying nature. However, some users note that the trail can experience flooding, especially after heavy rain, and can get quite crowded with both foot and bike traffic.

"I started my trip on this trail in Shirlington after the WO&D Trail. This was a pretty trail. It's very scenic. Heavy foot and bike traffic. However, you can pick up the beginning of the Trail at Benjamin Banneker Park or East falls Church Metro station in VA. The 4 Run mile trail runs parallel too and sometimes intersects with the Washington Old Dominion Trail. If you are heading east like me, you will intersect with the Mount Vernon Trail along the Potomac River."
