What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Echo Lake Beach is widely praised for its stunning natural beauty, especially during the fall foliage season. Visitors love the crystal-clear, albeit cold, water for swimming in the summer and the breathtaking mountain views year-round. The convenience of rentals and amenities adds to its appeal, though it can get very crowded during peak summer weekends.
"Beautiful lake with lots of fall colors second week of October. At the parking area there was signage about entrance fees for the lake, but there was no need to pay when we came on a weekday afternoon, not sure when you actually need to pay."

"Absolutely gorgeous! We rented kayaks at this crystal clear lake and did some fishing! The scenery is unbelievable!
They do have RV camping spots for $50 but we were not camping this time. Nice clean beach as well."

"This beach is perfect on a hot day. The water is always cold and it has everything one needs for a completely relaxing and fun day at the lake. There is a roped off swimming area with plenty of space and some shady spots. There are picnic tables and charcoal grills. Paddle boats, single and double kayaks are available to rent by the hour at reasonable prices. The gift shop is stocked with everything that may have been forgotten: chairs, towels, goggles, snacks, hats, sunscreen, swim diapers, even bagging suits. They sell already inflated floatables, most $5-$10, but also have deluxe floating unicorns and such for up to $50. It is easy to get to off the highway, which is heard and seen from the beach. But the overwhelming view of the mountains overwhelms the sight and sound of the highway. One could literally just pull off the highway, but a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen and snacks with zero preparation. Entry was $4/per adult. Kids under 5 are free. Kids age 6-11 are $3. No lifeguard on duty. There are RV spots available for $50/night in the parking lot. They don’t appear to be private during the day, but once the beach closes would be very private. This beach is cool, quiet and perfect."
