First Timer Tastes A-Z: ‘F’ Is For Frankenmuth, Frankie’s and Freddie’s!
Another week, another set! I’m always on the lookout for new tastes. ***Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn***: Plain and simple, it’s just tasty. It’s also balanced. There’s a vanilla hit that shines through, then it’s held in check with a little bit of licorice. Stays with you for a…

Frankenmuth Restaurants
I was wondering if anyone has any experience working at Zehnder’s or Bavarian Inn. Essentially, I was curious how tipping works there. Are tips pooled? Do they share with the bus boys etc. It’s kind of expensive per plate and usually we go in a large group, I don’t want to…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Frankenmuth for its unique Bavarian charm, festive atmosphere, and the generous, all-you-can-eat chicken dinners. The immersive cultural experience, complete with traditional decor and live music, is a major draw. However, some find the food quality doesn't always match the price point, and the 'world-famous' chicken can be hit or miss.
"We were visiting Frankenmuth for a quick day trip, and after reading reviews about the Bavarian Inn we decided to give it a try. Our server, Ella, was absolutely delightful. She was friendly, kind, and had a great sense of humor for all of the questions we had.
The Inn is lovely and obviously an important part of the town of Frankenmuth.
The food was good. We aren't savvy to German cuisine, so we tried a lot of new things. We really enjoyed the pretzel, chicken, potatoes, carrot salad, and cranberry salad. The cost seemed to be more about the experience than the food. Know that if you are there at lunch but you are only given the dinner menu, you can still order the lunch portion and get the price...which we didn't know!
Bonus: we loved the strolling accordion player!"

"Feels like you're stepping into another world. Service was fantastic, from the hostess to the accordion player to our waitress. The waitress was very helpful, explained everything, and answered our questions.
When I say there was a lot of food I mean it. Photos are just for 2 people. Plus, the family style is technically all-you-can-eat.
Decor was cute with storybook fairytale murals from the Brothers Grimm.
Only downfall is where the bathrooms are compared to the dining area.
Definitely recommend trying this place out for the German experience."
Kristina “Stina”
"We came here as a group of 10, and the staff was so kind, they quickly arranged a great table where we all felt comfortable. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in a traditional Bavarian/German style, which is honestly the coolest part of the experience and really sets the mood.
The famous chicken dinner was very good, and it came with plenty of refillable appetizers, all of them were delicious! Our waitress was super friendly and attentive throughout the meal, making sure we had everything we needed.
It’s a little on the pricey side, but overall, it was a really good experience and definitely worth visiting if you’re in Frankenmuth."
