The L.L Bean in Freeport is mostly closed, but one of the sections was still open when I went there a few weeks ago. I love all the taxidermy there! Sorry if some of these pictures aren't the best😅
Late to this thread- tourist here now- was thinking of going tomorrow from Portland. Worth the trip or no? We’ve been in town a few days and have seen a lot in Portland so far.

Visiting the LL Bean headquarters next week. What should I pick up?
I'm going to be in Portland, ME next week so naturally I want to visit the LL Bean headquarters. Any pieces from them you've got your eye on that look good or pieces you'd highly recommend?
LL Bean is still worth it for some things
My dad found my old Browning compound bow that I started shooting with 30 years ago and gave it to my 11 year old. He fell in love with it immediately and insisted *that* was the bow he wanted to learn on. It's been sitting at ~45lbs for the last 25 years in storage. So I…

FFA I need your help. I'm starting my first career job in 4 months and I need a business casual wardrobe starter kit. To add difficultly I've been unemployed for a couple months so I don't have a lot of money to work with.
Edit: I'm a size 10 and busty so finding closes that don't show cleavage or have the buttons strain at my chest hard. I'm in Maine now but my job will be in Virginia, Maine has limited options for stores. If like to keep prices as low as possible ( less then $50 for an outfit).…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Freeport Village Outlets offer a diverse shopping experience with a mix of well-known brands and unique boutiques. Visitors appreciate the iconic LL Bean store and the vibrant craft market, though some find it can feel like a tourist trap with inconsistent deals. The walkable atmosphere and variety of shops make it a worthwhile stop for many.
"Great antique shop has many different types of items. From currency and coins, a basement full of books and lots of lamps, furniture and fixtures of all kinds. Plan on at least two hours if you want to see everything.
The staff is wonderful, and if you can’t find it, just ask for help.

"Some great deals... Sometimes. A number not so good. The addition of the Freeport market is great - full of an excellent assortment of craft and art options. Interesting and beautiful from numerous vendors in a single space. Definitely check it out the next time you are in the area."

"Just be aware that the Freeport outlets are a massive tourist trap. If you happen to go to them the week between the major fashion seasons, you can get really decent deals on clothing, but most of the time it's an absolute mess of people walking around the town just buying junk.
If you like buying things, you will like it here. I might go maybe two or three times a year. Living here when we are passing through to hopefully get something decent. A lot of the time I come up empty-handed, but when you do have a good day there it is quite nice.
Don't sleep on the consignment/ thrift shop nearer the end of the strip. I can't remember the name of it, but both my wife and I have had very good luck finding interesting clothing there.
The giant LL Bean campus is also just sort of like one of those things that you can experience. I don't know how else to describe it other than something that would only exist in America. Like if you're the the person who likes to go on pilgrimages to strange landmarks of consumerism like that giant Bass pro shop pyramid, you will probably also like it here."
