"A peaceful place to sit at in the evening and night. In the afternoon you can hear the chants of "Hare Rama, Hare Krishna" by the Krishna Lunch folks. They even play on a Harmonium sometimes. Well maintained park. I have spotted a snake there twice so I would always stay away from a bush if there is any. Otherwise a neat place."

"A peaceful oasis in the heart of the University of Florida campus! Plaza of the Americas is the perfect place to take a break, relax under the shade of the towering trees, or enjoy a picnic between classes. There’s something special about the energy here — students studying, hammocks strung between trees, and live events popping up from time to time.
It’s also rich in history and beautifully maintained, with plenty of space to just breathe and enjoy a moment of calm. Whether you’re a student or just passing through, this plaza is a true gem in Gainesville!"
