Visitors consistently praise Historic Smithville for its charming atmosphere, unique shops, and festive holiday decorations. Many highlight the dog-friendly nature of the village and the pleasant experience of strolling through the historic buildings. "We visited around Thanksgiving last year, and the town was beautifully decorated for the season. One thing we loved is how dog-friendly it is—we were able to bring our pup along, which made the experience even better. Just a small note: the restaurant doesn’t allow pets indoors, only in the outdoor seating area. It was a bit chilly that day to dine outside, but everything else was wonderful. We truly enjoyed our time and will definitely be back!"
