What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Stanley Ranch Museum and Village to be an interesting and worthwhile stop, particularly for its historical significance, especially Walt Disney's first studio garage. The knowledgeable and engaging tour guides are consistently praised, making the experience enriching. While the donation-based entry is appreciated, some note the clear expectation of a $5 contribution. The limited operating days and specific tour times require careful planning.
"Even though they say the suggested donation amount is $5. They do make it clear you should pay the $5. It was still interesting and worth the stop. They do tours every 1st and 3rd Sunday at 1:30PM. The tour took 1.5 hrs for us, but it could be different depending on the volunteer."

"Open days/times: their website isn't super clear so firstly for reference this is open the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month and the tours are at 1:30pm. I've been to a lot of historical places and Stanley Ranch was really great. They have a lot of donated buildings on the lot including a garage where it all started for Walt Disney. But it is almost a mini town with the variety of buildings they have from homes to a post office, fire department, etc. Our tour guide was great - very knowledgeable and had a good cadence. The tour was just over 2 hours and they are donation based so make sure to donate when you check in! Worth every penny you are able to provide. If you're in Garden Grove, definitely worth checking out!"
