"September 2025 - We visited the Marine Museum in Astoria and a small one on the Columbia River, this museum is different. The Astoria museum was mostly about 'shipwrecks' and the Coast Guard, this museum was about the history of the area and marine life of the Oregon Coast.
There were items that I have in all my years never seen before, and there were several models of ships that once sailed the Pacific. Very well done displays, lots of things to see, and good descriptions of everything.
Well worth the few dollar entry fee, and a must if you are in Garibaldi for the train ride."

voyages that explored and

historical firearms display,
the history of coastal tribes
that traded furs with Captain
Gray, a nice Japanese Float
display, and carved pieces of
bone or ivory Scrimshaw.
