"One of the best kept small museums that I have visited. We went there unplanned, not expecting anything or having no idea what we would see. We were lucky to get the tour from the director herself while visiting the fishing boat. She had a captivating way of explaining the fisherman's life and how the boat was used, how the engines were reassembled, how the boat was hauled into the hall etc. It certainly has a wow factor to it. All the exhibits were interesting. The story behind how long it took and how much effort was involved in restoring the old fishing boat "Shenandoah", to its current state was very interesting. Very friendly staff. We went in August and the entry was free. The history about the bridge that fell due to high wind and how it was restored was also interesting. There is a light pole near the car parking area from the destroyed bridge which is the only surviving light pole from the old bridge. But for me the highlight was walking into that hall wi"
