"Good trail through the woods that leads to Beck Lake. From Camp Pine Woods to Beck Lake and back is a little over 4 miles round trip via the Des Plaines River Trail. In this section of the trail, there's no river access or views.
The main Des Plaines River Trail goes through the preserve, and there's also smaller dirt trails; however, these were very narrow and overgrown in parts, so I recommend sticking to the main trail.

A lot of families gather around the lake to enjoy the beautiful scenery, it s not a catch and release place but there is some instruction for the size and kind of fishes to keep.
The nature is wonderful there , in the trails few benches but around the lake there are more.
