"We had a great hike in Panthertown Valley, starting at the Salt Rock parking area. There was one Overlook and two waterfalls. The walk/hike was mostly easy with a few spots that required us to be a little more careful, very we are 72 and 65! It was a beautiful hike and we'll gladly do it again."

"We love panthertown. It is never crowded and wonderful for dogs. So many trails. VERY easy to get lost and I have multiple times. Make sure to take a pic of the map, you’ll likely need it. Our German Shepherd loves all the access to water to cool off and splash around. Both trail heads are great. Cold Mountain is even more remote but you can hike for hours with the pup off leash and not see a soul. Very beautiful and peaceful and some lovely waterfalls."

You just need to be careful and pay attention to where you're going because there are a lot of unofficial trails that cut off the main trails. GPS is helpful for sure."
