"Loved it for someone with a 2 yr old. I walked all the way to the beach to the left of the fishing pier bc there were TONS of jelly fish in the water of the main, larger beach. But the smaller area was PERFECT! shallow enough for my petite 2 yr old to stand about 4-5 ft in.. lots of big shells (oysters) .. no jellyfish that i saw on that side. There were spots with shade, others in the sun so you have the best of both worlds. Benches and a few trash barrels very close! No excuses for litter bugs! (As my mom would say/sing, "litter bug, litter bug, shame on you!")
The water is calm.. the biggest waves are tiny little wakes from a boat that may pass wayyy out.
Comfortable water temp.. warm but not HOT.. still refreshing, yet you don't think twice when walking in about the temp of the water.. clear, clean, no seaweed, shallow, small beach, quiet, super clean, shells to mystify my toddler (okay and maybe me too)..I mean, in my world, that is PERFECTION!!!
I went late.. like 430-830.. there are ppl fishing on the pier, but other than that I saw 1 large family that was very friendly.. had 4 kids playing, one woman with a baby briefly, another child who's parents were fishing so I let her play with my daughter and i.. and us two! I had SUCH a wonderful time!! It's far from my home but I'm coming back!!!!"

"Gloucester point Beach Park is a great place to go for a weekend vacation for swimming and fishing on the pier with no fishing license needed. You’re able to fish off the pier and swimming is very nice on the side of the pier you can swim about 20 feet out without getting a hook in your foot. There are many wildlife animals around the park. Also, the park is kept clean and they have a grilling station for when you get hungry you can bring your own cooler and food. We had a great time and we plan to go back and recent time."
