What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Turtle Rock offers a fantastic location with ocean views and river access, ideal for RV travelers. While many appreciate the natural beauty and friendly staff, some visitors find the RV sites too close together, impacting privacy and quiet. Issues with amenities and cell service are also noted, but the overall experience is often positive for those seeking a scenic coastal getaway.
"RV Park was fully booked and the spaces are not far apart. With that being said, it is a well kept park. They drive around every morning and spread water on the gravel road to cut down on the dust, which is a great idea and much appreciated. When we pulled in, our water valve was broken. The staff had it fixed within an hour. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Got to see otters play in the river, which was fun to see and there were tons of baby fish jumping every morning and evening.
I would like to make a suggestion to the park though. It would be fantastic to have a playground in the green field for the kids to play on. Parents like to sit at camp and the younger kids cant go to the beach by themselves, but if there were a play structure it would help entertain them more. Better for the kids and the parents.
The food was ok (breakfast only unfortunately), but I heard from many other campers that the Mexican food place that used to be there was far better. We did really enjoy the pizza cart and the beer. Just wish it was open more often."

"Great location, quiet, and easy access to the beach with a beautiful river flowing right by.
During most of the year, the river is a very slow flowing and safe. Great to paddleboard on.
RV spaces are good sized and the beauty of the area is just great overall."

"Camped here in an RV. Found it was very very crowded. Felt liked sardines stacked in a can. RVs about 15 feet apart with a picnic table between. No privacy at all. I could hear conversations neighbor is having at their picnic table which is 4 feet from my driver's side. Extreme amounts large dogs, many children with the usual noise. It has a nice beach but it's a little walk, about 15 minutes, to get to there. Not a place for peace and quiet. Or privacy. Won't come back, will let friends know not to come to this camp area."
