The cemetery offers a peaceful atmosphere for reflection and exploration of historical headstones, though some stones may be weathered or fallen. It's a unique spot for history buffs and those interested in local lore.
"Contrary to the review posted by Michael Sandidge, it is not confirmed that the real Jesse James is buried in this cemetery. In fact, DNA testing seems to prove he is not, unless you want to subscribe to the "They dug up the wrong grave." theory. So who is burred here? Well General Granbury, that's who. Also buried here is Ashley Crockett, grandson of the famous Texas hero, Davy Crockett. I have uploaded a cemetery map, available from the Granbury Visitors Center, 116 W Bridge St."

"Visited late at night to find Jesse James' grave along with General Granbury's grave. I was told this Jesse James headstone is the only one paid for by his descendents. That made is slightly more believable that it might be true. Surprised Granbury's grave was fairly low key. Expected statue or something more impressive. Awesome visit though"

"Lovely little cemetery with some names of known (or ill) repute. Beautiful spot to watch the birds and enjoy headstone architecture. I am a little perplexed as to why so many stones were on the ground, but we did come after a heavy bout of bad weather, so that might have had something to do with it.
If you like cemeteries, you should swing by."
