Grand Prismatic Spring Yellowstone
This is taken from a lookout- park in the “fairy falls” parking lot (and not the grand prismatic spring parking) and take an easy hike about 0.8 miles. Plenty of parking

Grand Prismatic Spring
I am planning on going to Yellowstone on Monday. Is it possible with this weather to see the beautiful colors of the Grand Prismatic Spring? Does anyone have recommendations for what time of the day is the best?
Thoughts on parking when trying to see multiple springs/geysers in one day?
We will have 2 full days in Yellowstone in mid-September. For the first day we want to see the springs/geysers on the western side of the park, and on the 2nd day we plan to go to the "Grand Canyon" of Yellowstone. The logistics of day 1 are making my brain hurt, so I thought…

Visit during different times of day for varied lighting and to see how the colors shift.
🚗 Parking Patience
Parking lots fill up quickly, especially during peak season. Arrive early or be prepared to wait.
Grand Prismatic overlook in Yellowstone National Park. Make sure you don't skip this when visiting! Seeing it from above is amazing! You can just see the size of it compared to all the little specks of people on the boardwalk.
I'd recommend seeing it from above. It's a short loop trail. You can't see as much from the ground, and stinky sulfur blows into your face from the boardwalk.

Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently rave about the Grand Prismatic Spring, calling it a breathtaking spectacle that exceeds expectations. The vibrant colors and unique microbial mats are highlights, with the overlook trail offering an unforgettable panoramic view. Some note that parking and crowds can be challenging, especially during peak times.
"Grand Prismatic Spring totally lives up to the hype…massive, colorful, and surrounded by the coolest microbe mats that make you feel like you're walking through a geothermal painting. The boardwalk is great for a close-up look, but the real adventure started when we hit the Fairy Falls trail. The board walk does not have a guardrail, so watch out for rowdy youths and bouncy adults for that matter."
