What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
KCAD Galleries are praised for offering free admission and a platform to support local art students, with opportunities to purchase affordable works. The historic building itself is also a notable feature. However, some feedback points to broader institutional challenges within Kendall College of Art and Design.
"Great place to see art exhibits at no cost. Added benefit is the feel good factor of supporting local art students. When we visited there was a public juried vote on pieces. It's also a good place to pick up quality works of art at reasonable prices."

"KCAD is deteriorating. Facilities becoming less available to students. Administration caring less about students. No real food/housing available to students on campus. Disappointing leadership and under educated faculty. KCAD used to be a fantastic school but I do not advise new students to come anymore. Record low attendance right now and no signs of things improving. Many students believe KCAD may shut down any day now. There are better schools to attend with more opportunities."

"Lovely venue for art display. We were here for the 2018 Grand Rapids Festival of Arts. The hors d'oeuvres were also fabulous.
We came here, when this was the Grand Rapids Art Museum too."
