Granite Basin Lake in Prescott Az. We got out on the water today on our SUP and kayak. This little lake is one of the few that allow swimming in the area. It’s $5 usage fee or free on Wednesdays. The boat launch parking lot is small but there is another parking lot for day use and get there early. Vault toilets at each and at the trailhead a little further up the loop. Granite Basin Lake in the Prescott National Forest just north west of downtown. This is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy some fresh air and have a picnic! I saw a few people swimming and relaxing on the sandy beach, and hiking with their dogs. You can also go fishing, canoeing, paddle boarding and kayaking here too! There's a $5 per vehicle parking fee here. 😍🤙🛶📸☀️ . . #prescott #prescottarizona...

"The first six pictures were taken from an, around, 7.5-mile loop. Starting at the Metate parking area, take trails: 261 to 38 to 40.

The last eight pictures were taken from around 8.0-mile loop. Parking at the Cayuse parking area, trails: take the trail by the bathrooms, I think it's 351 to 348 to 352 to 345 (turn right) to 347 to 346 (no trail sign, turn right, go through gate and walk down dirt road. Do not take trail 332. Stay on the dirt road, and you'll end up at the Cayuse parking area).

Really beautiful hiking trail system!"

"wow, I hiked there this morning. Of course the lake wasn’t that exciting because it’s early spring… but the snow was super gorgeous and I found some cool trails…That were just beautiful."

Rose Curtis
