What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the 9/11 Sculpture in Greensboro to be a beautiful and poignant tribute, offering a tangible connection to the tragedy with its World Trade Center steel and symbolic design. It's praised as a powerful reminder of remembrance and national unity, encouraging respectful reflection. Some may find the subject matter heavy, but its importance as a historical marker is widely acknowledged.
"This is a beautiful sculpture and astounding reminder of what happened to our country. Its base is a pentagon, to represent the attack on the Pentagon. There are two thick, steel, vertical columns representing the towers. Then there are paper-like structures running down the middle and onto the sides to show what the millions of papers that flew out of the buildings looked like. They have poems, messages, and words of remembrance on them. I encourage everyone to please go and see it and pay your respects. You may not be able to go to New York, but there is a structure in every state dedicated and designed to remember the tragedy. You may not know anyone who passed that day and you may not even have been alive when it happened, but those people deserve to be remembered and you don’t know if something like that will happen again. Take time to learn from history so we don’t repeat it.
Anyways I recommend a visit!"
