"Very nice hotel. It was easy to locate. They gave valet parking or the city’s public garage which is monitored. Our room was nice, the double beds are a little small but they were manageable. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed our stay here. And bonus points for allowing pets. We brought our dog and he was very popular. The only complaint I have is that my husband took our dog on a walk when we got there after a long drive (later at night) and there was 2 homeless men who kept pressing him for money to buy food after he already told them no. Not a big deal but it did make us feel a little uneasy. We would definitely stay here again and hopefully get to explore the town next time!"

"Good hotel overall. Room was decent and location is great for the area. I didn’t like the guest services. I felt pressured to sign up for the rewards program or I wouldn’t get early check in. So I walked around for an hour before coming back to be told my room is ready, hence she forgot to take my number so the bellhop was the one to actually help. Considering this was a work trip and I’ll have more in the future, I definitely won’t be using the Marriott again. Better services elsewhere."

"Spent our anniversary weekend at the Poinsett. Treated extremely well, friendly staff, easy parking and clean facilities. The only surprise was that on Mondays they do not have the breakfast buffet. You pick your breakfast from a fixed menu. Only mention this because their buffet is highly rated and we were looking forward to experiencing it. I'd love to go back sometime."
