"What an amazing place. I've driven by here a thousand times but finally went in recently for a near 1 1/2 hour guided tour. I've never been to a place more decorated with furniture and décor from the era it was built (1800), and that includes all the mansions in Newport, RI. The guides were very knowledgeable and took their time to address the history of the house and the family and answered any question I had with pleasure. And you can't beat the price of admission: free. Don't pass this place by; you'll want to go back."
