The tour was fascinating on a state level and was chock full of historical stories along with avid tour volunteers who made it a distinct experience. I will definitely return here along with visiting this town too!"

"The Indian King Tavern Museum is an amazing place to go and see. The American history of this place is something that I didn't know of. Having a copy of Decoration of independence read to those there before it was signed is a part of history I would like to have been part of. This is definitely one place that all should visit.
When I was there, there was scaffolding around it for well needed restoration. It do not discourage me from going inside.
Walking in the front door, you get the feeling of history."

"This is an interesting place to visit. When you arrive, you ring the bell and a guide will welcome you and you have a choice of exploring the tavern yourself, or with a guided tour (which takes about an hour). We opted to tour ourselves, but Elijah, a very knowledgeable and friendly guide was happy to answer our questions and provided lots of detailed history. If you arrive during a tour, it may take them a while to open the door.
There is scaffold surrounding the building, they are getting a new (historically appropriate) roof - and in the near future will undergo renovations inside. Itβs great to know that this amazing historic building is going to be well taken care ofβ¦ I hope whey will add an accessible entrance to at least the first floor. Right now, the building is not accessible. Itβs free to tour.
Paid street parking on a lovely street. There were signs for public parking."
