Highlights include the picturesque lake with its iconic bridges, the historic Hager House, and the vibrant seasonal displays. It's considered a fantastic public space offering a blend of history, nature, and family-friendly activities.

"Absolutely one of the best city parks in Maryland! Hagerstown City Park is a true hidden gem. The moment you step in, you're greeted by the stunning historic stone bridges, the serene tree-lined lake with swans and ducks gliding across the water, and the beautifully landscaped gardens that feel like they've been pulled straight from a storybook. The park is impeccably maintained – the lawns are lush, the walking paths are clean and well-marked, and the flower beds are bursting with color year-round.

The highlight for most visitors is the Hager House (a must-see piece of local history) and the gorgeous reflecting lake with its iconic arched bridges. There are plenty of picnic tables, shaded pavilions, and even grills if you want to make a day of it. The walking trails are perfect for a peaceful stroll or a morning jog, and the whole park has such a calm, welcoming vibe.

The holiday light display in winter is magical, and the summer concert series on the lawn is always a treat. Free parking, super clean restrooms, and friendly park staff – you can tell the city really cares about this place.

Whether you're local or just passing through Western Maryland, Hagerstown City Park is worth every minute."

"This park is huge and has play equipment for seemingly all ages. It shows its beauty through every season. When it starts warming up it is always fun to take the kids to feed and visit the ducklings and gosling. I highly suggest a stroll through their paths and parks and around the pond to visit the Art museum there as well. Or maybe stop in when the music filled events can bring your souls joy."

"We were in the city for a short overnight visit, but were intrigued enough to stop for a stroll through this park. It is an expansive, lovely, well-maintened park, with lots of different areas including playgrounds, a pond, and an outdoor performance venue. It seems like a really great public space with lots to offer!"
