"I love this park! It's a bit of a trek to get to the large, paved Miami trail, but it's worth it either way you take to get there and it's nice that there are multiple loops you can use to return to the parking lot. I've only been in the spring and the fall and it's definitely buggy during those seasons because there's so much water, but you can see so much wildlife! I have seen snakes, turtles, an obscene number of migrating and native birds, and I'm sure more things I'm forgetting. The dog loves it, too, and it looks like a great place for fishing - I've seen people do that in the fall, but I don't know what the process or rules for it is so I can't say for sure. My only issue is that the parking lot is pretty easy to miss and you do only get a portapotty there, and one trashcan. But they've put in all kinds of interesting viewing platforms and picnic areas in the metro Park and along the connecting trails, it's very much worth a visit."
