What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Hāna Bay Beach Park for its beautiful black sand and peaceful atmosphere, making it a lovely spot to conclude the Road to Hana drive. It's noted as a clean, dog-friendly beach with good picnic facilities, though shade is limited and the pier is closed. Some find the water rocky, but overall it's a well-regarded local spot.
"Really beautiful black sand beach. There are many locals who utilize this beach so as a tourist be respectful. This is their home. As a tourist I was able to park easily and walk the small beach to the pier but the pier is closed to the public. Such a beautiful way to end the drive on the road to Hana."

"This is a nice beach, dog friendly, no plastic or litter. It's a good beach for families with kids and small groups. The water is shallow but watch out for rocks. There's no shade provided by trees so bring an umbrella. There is one pavilion you can sit under but it's not on the sand so it's pretty far. I would come back here, not necessarily to swim but it would be nice to picnic."
Kaydence Lester
"Nice beach.. Made it here by accident after Google Maps said it was the access point to the Red Sand Beach, it's not."
