"One of the loveliest nature preserves I have ever visited! The cedar trail in particular, with all its mosses and lichens felt like a magical fairyland. And then not just the beach itself, but the gorgeous view of the beach from the viewpoint on the trail! There are so many nature trails and preserves in the Petoskey area, this one is absolutely worth the drive!
There is also a charming nature center with a bathroom, and we saw multiple staff around (even on the holiday!) working on the trail and greeting guests."

"Was a great little Trail, lots of cool information about the local trees, habitat and wildlife.
It had been raining so some of the wooden bridges were slick. Im grateful I came prepared.
Was a nice little hike before the tunnel of trees, wish it extended more. Loved the Center, where you were able to walk in and catch sight of some petoskey and charlevoix stones.
And loved the touch of the memorial gazebo paying tribute to a young man!
If you are looking for a good, small little hike when in the area, this is a good spot to check out.
And of course, always respect the trail!"
