"Interesting home with unique Hartford history. However, what could have been a 45 minute tour turned into a 1.5 hour tour because the guide allowed one visit to dictate the tour. We spent twenty minutes in the library alone while one guest asked multiple questions. Now, I believe that questions lead to great discussions and the revealing of information that might not otherwise come up in a tour, but it can become excessive. We stayed on the tour for the entire time because we wanted to make sure that we got to see the entire home, but overall it was a poor experience. There needs to be some more structure to the tours."

In the era when staff shortage is the common issue, I’m very grateful that they found someone close to Hartford to come over and open the house for us on a day that they don’t typically arrange tours at this house.
