What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
A beloved local spot with a nostalgic charm, Hartville Marketplace offers a vast array of goods from permanent shops to rotating outdoor vendors. Visitors praise the incredible deals on toys and vintage items, the quality of local food vendors like Duma Meats, and the festive atmosphere, especially during fall. While some note that it's not quite what it was years ago, the market continues to grow and impress with its diverse offerings and clean facilities.
"A local favorite from my childhood and now enjoying it with my own children! We visit OFTEN. If you have to choose only one time to visit, it’s worth a trip during late summer/early fall & throughout fall. When the pumpkins, cider and mums are everywhere, it truly feels like an adorable Hallmark movie. 😂 the pumpkin prices are SO affordable. The pumpkins you’d pay $35 for at a patch are $5 here. We get gigantic ones each year for around $7-8 and several fun, colorful medium sized for even less. The variety is really cool & it’s an experience just to walk the area during that time of year.
We have several favorite vendors & the prices are incredible for most. Our favorite spots are the vintage shop that takes up half the second floor, the toy people selling used toys for the very best prices (think character vehicles, learning toys, action figures, books, etc for 1/12th of the retail price), and of course, Ada’s and their delicious pepperoni rolls 😍😍😍 Duma has been a fantastic addition, but I still recommend visiting their main location, approx 10-15 min from the flea market.
Vendors have come and gone and it’s still not what it was 15 years ago at times, but it only gets better each year. Impressed with the event sizes and offerings only growing & excited to see what it continues to become!"

"This was our first visit to the Marketplace. On a Friday morning, we visited the market and it was operating well below capacity. Some shops and stalls on the interior were busy and others were not. The Fiesta Ware shop was a pleasant surprise. That shop even offered the just released “Linen” color.
The vendors outside were a mixed lot. My companion said that in the height of summer, the number of vendors offering home grown products increases exponentially. The Marketplace was immaculately clean and vendors are obviously closely watched to ensure their stall areas meet a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation. This high standard also applies to the restrooms.
Given the vast size of the Marketplace, I cannot imagine what this place is like in high summer. I am guessing a visitor better have comfortable walking shoes."
