Klamath Marsh gravel bike route is riding just dandy… just north of Chiloquin, Oregon this is an easy route. 25 miles and 1,000 feet of gain. You’ll find the route guide on our website. Photo: @clearlymary @visitsouthernoregon @visitklamathfalls #klamathmarsh @traveloregon @nwtravelmag

What Travellers Say

Reviews Summary

Visitors often praise Havasu National Wildlife Refuge for its peaceful, isolated atmosphere and beautiful sunrise/sunset views, making it ideal for boondocking and relaxation. However, some express disappointment with the current dry conditions of Topock Marsh and concerns about pollution and damage to the ecosystem from seasonal visitors.

"It is so sad to see how dry the Topock Marsh is now."

Edna Moreno

"We like this place for a boondooking experience. Reason #1 It has plenty of room to park, and other RVS are far enough away that you have privacy. #2 The sunrise and sunset are beautiful and peaceful. A great way to wake up and end your day. #3 The hikes, there are miles and miles of hills to roam. There are tons of quartz rocks to look at, and it's a good way to get out and work your legs. Lol is usually much needed after many miles on the road. You can see the bridge and river from here. The only thing that may be a drawback to some is the road noise. If you go back far enough down the gravel path to the back of the spots, you won't hear it."

Michelle Y

"Typically, this is one of my favorite places to go to get away from everyone and everything. Honestly, this place is usually a five-star, quiet place. Unfortunately, the seasonal "snowbirds," i.e. people who travel here during the winter and destroy our beautiful lake and its wildlife, always find some way to ruin our beloved paradise. For example, they like to come here to drain their pools, knowing perfectly well that we have a gorgeous lake. Not to mention, all of the garbage and pollution they just LOVE to leave behind. All of which tend to drain our lake and ruin its eco-systems. It would be amazing if people actually showed some respect and appreciation for our amazing city."
