While small, the exhibits, particularly the FSSF 'Devil's Brigade' display, are impactful and well-curated. The museum is a worthwhile stop for anyone interested in military history, offering a glimpse into both specialized units and broader state contributions.

"Rich in history. Friendly volunteers. They have a small gift store inside. Hubby bought a shirt and a V42 stiletto. Very cool museum. If you are just visiting Montana or only passing through Helena, this museum is worth the visit. Thank you so much to all the volunteers."

"Great museum that is run by volunteers! It's only open on Thursdays, but we emailed ahead to ensure that they knew we were coming. It was a bit of a pilgrimage as my grandfather was a member of the FSSF 6-3 and I had wanted to travel to the training base. The display includes a lot of Montana's Military heritage, but for my son, wife and myself, it was the Force Special Service Force display we wanted to see.
And yes, they have a store inside where you can purchase books, DVDs, hats, shirts and memorabilia.
Thanks to Dave Cole for helping us and telling some stories!"

BFTracer

"Open on Thursdays, need a government approved ID to enter. Small but important exhibits on the First Special Forces Brigade. Other exhibits cover the military history of Montana from Lewis and Clark to today. There are several historical vehicles in front of the museum. Highly recommended."
