What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pittman Wash Trail is widely praised as a clean, well-maintained paved path ideal for walking, running, and biking. Users appreciate its gentle terrain, connecting park access, and the convenience of benches and lighting. Some note that shade is limited and the trail can feel narrow on crowded days.
"At first, I thought it was 31 minutes away from home, according to Google Maps, but it was actually 44 minutes away from Whitney to here. With that being said, the wash trail is beautiful. It's a straight line with a little bit of hilly terrain. The view is stunning, especially by the looks of it. I came here with my bike, as I said before, it was 31 minutes. I enjoy my exploration of this trail and it's history, though I did not pay attention to the details. The trees and grass are lush and perfectly clean. What's cool about this trail, there is a train track above the walk trail (unless you're lucky enough to see a train passing by during your walk). It's perfect for walking and biking. While there, I noticed there were several plaques dedicating to the people that passed away. They died a long time ago. I was surprised to discover one person, named Jacqueline Kiesecker, was born on 2/28/28 and died on 6/9/99; almost if she died on 9/9/99. That'll be crazy! For the record, this is technically a trail for angels. There is also a swimming pool complex when you enter the grass area of the trail. I came here during a brutal heat wave day. My best recommendation is to come here during a cloudy day or when the day is overcast. Worth a visit and I'll be coming back here soon for more."
