What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors express a deep love for Heritage Field's historical significance, particularly its connection to baseball legends and the original Yankee Stadium. However, many are disheartened by the park's lack of maintenance, with the historic field showing signs of neglect. There's a strong sentiment that the site deserves better care to honor its storied past and educate future generations.
"Breaks my heart!...Every time I come down here, this field gets worse and worse, and I hate the fact that no one cares...these are sacred grounds where greats like Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Micky Mantle, and Joe DiMaggio played, and many other countless names and epic historic events happened on this field, at this very site. And now?...it is nothing more than a low-end terrible park that has not been properly maintained in years. Something has to be done to revitalize this site... I personally have so many great memories here, and I know I am not alone. But what get me is that many of these young kids that play on this field and at this park, don't know the importance of the soil they are standing on. I wish something more can be done to bring back the past and pass it along to other people in the community, in New York, and anyone who loves baseball, sports, and American history!"

"Playground in the site of the old yankee stadium. Pretty small and not in the best shape but fairly new."
