"Simple yet beautiful. Peaceful little place known mostly to the locals. Nice picnic spot. No grills allowed but set up a blanket and enjoy some sandwiches. "Beautiful lake with plenty of hiking and picnic options. There’s a easy hiking trail circling the lake. There are some stairs behind the damn on the opposite side of the lake but otherwise the trail is relatively flat and easy to walk. Restroom and picnic tables are also available. The park is easy to get too, just minutes from Highlands. It is a state park and there is a $5 per vehicle -more for campers/RV- but definitely worth the price in my opinion.
*10/29 Back again!! Beautiful day -perfect weather. We picnicked at the lake, flew the drone and then did two laps around it. Colors were spectacular and the temperature was perfect!! If visiting the area, I highly recommend visiting Cliffside Lake - always a great experience!!"
