What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Wailoa Arts & Cultural Center for its beautiful setting within a park and its engaging, rotating art exhibitions. The unique circular architecture and the welcoming, informative staff are frequently highlighted as positive aspects. While the art itself is appreciated, some visitors note that the exhibits change often, so checking ahead is recommended.
"I loved coming upon this place after walking to see King Kamehameha statue.
Staff was welcoming and friendly. They offered to show me how to make my own wrapping paper by pressing wood blocks into paint. Cool! I came to see the art exhibit, which was nice all around. At this time, it's art depicting or embodying Native Hawaiian plant or animal species only. Marcia, who works at upstairs desk, educated me on the exhibit, Native flora and fauna, and on Hawai'i in general.
I would definitely recommend this place and I would return."

"Really cool art gallery in the middle of a giant park with tons of open space, palm trees, banyan trees, and a river running through it. The coolest part of the art center is the stone fountain rising to the second level from the ground floor. Also, the circular shape of the building itself makes viewing the artwork feel "seamless", if that makes sense."
