What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center for its engaging, kid-friendly atmosphere and naturalistic animal exhibits. The interactive trails are a highlight, keeping children entertained for hours. While most experiences are positive, some visitors note that not all animals are always visible.
"10/10 would recommend. Our high energy 3 year old had the time of his life. So kid friendly, so many things to keep him interested (and walking the whole trail with no complaints!!!) but also so incredibly cool for adults. Our son wasn’t even totally interested in the animals besides the first looks but the puzzles and interactive walls at every exhibit had him so excited. We had an amazing time. We came right when it opened so the parking and purchasing tickets were a breeze."

"Beautiful setting. Almost seems built into the natural landscape. Great place for anyone with Autism. Tons of hands on displays and learning material. Also lots of cute photo ops. Not every animal was out but a majority was"
Nicholas Letendre
"We got very lucky that we came 1.5hrs before close, week day, so there was not many other people there. And we saw all the animals, except one. Their areas all seemed very nice, well maintained, and enriching. Especially loved the chipmunk area, where they were going in and out of their exhibit, but there is a place to watch up close. And how the deer could walk underneath you. Definitely could have stayed for longer! Loved walking around because it didn't feel like a "zoo" and felt generally more natural. It was like a trail walk through the woods and zoo combo. Educational exhibits were also really unique and hands-on. Even I enjoyed them as an adult!"
