Have you heard? Holland’s Window on the Waterfront Park will soon be home to a new ice-skating rink, thanks in part to generous community donations. Skating, curling, picnic areas, and concessions will make the new rink a must see, year-round destination for locals and tourists alike.

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Window on the Waterfront Park for its stunning, free tulip displays and accessible paved paths, making it a serene spot for walks and wildlife observation. While it can get crowded during Tulip Time, many appreciate the playground and peaceful wetland views, noting it as a beautiful, low-cost attraction.

"Window in the waterfront is a lovely short walk that is completely paved over so it’s handicap accessible.

There are water fountains and benches along the way if you’d like to stop and take a break or eat lunch. Every time I’ve been I’ve seen lots of wildlife and the addition to the sunflower/zinnia patches off the path near the children’s play area have made it even more stunning."

Abigail Averill

"Very peaceful, serene evening walking path, great views of the windmill and river; lots of green natural landscape and overhead views of interesting birds in flight. There weren’t many people on the path late evening on a weeknight. The trail goes along the river and ends at Central Ave by 3rd street and the water reclamation facility."

Stephanie Polakowski

"This is the largest free (to access) collection of tulips we found in Holland, MI during Tulip Time. It’s a great and beautiful place to stop in and check out. We arrived the first Friday right before the festival technically started just before sunset and there were very few other people there. Saturday during the day it was swarming with people, so keep that in mind when planning. This also has a decently large playground nearby for the children."
